Perth-based Australian aerospace startup Drone Forge has announced DF Fleet 1, a large-scale solution for drone operators. It is the first turnkey fleet of drones designed for large-scale projects. Drone Forge’s end-to-end solution includes drones, insurance, management, and support. The initiative is aimed at governments, commercial operators, and investors. The solution promises to simplify operations and investment in drone technology.
Drone Forge is focused on creating scalable and sustainable business models. Its CEO and founder Thomas Symes emphasizes that the market does not need drones as much as it needs companies that can provide, support, and scale customer projects. In this regard, DF Fleet 1 is ready to transform drones from autonomous assets into enterprise-grade infrastructure.

Drone Forge offers a full range of services. It covers procurement, insurance through Lloyd’s of London, long-term fleet management. Drone fleet management services include storage, performance monitoring and maintenance. The solution supports operators from various industries. These may include rescue and law enforcement, utilities, exploration and mining, defense, logistics and others.
In addition, the startup is actively developing partnerships. Key alliances were agreements with Airbus and the Swiss Anavia. Drone Forge is also an authorized DJI reseller in Australia. And to support all of its projects, the company opened a drone service center in Perth.
The regulatory environment for large-scale drone fleet operations in Australia and the Pacific remains complex at present, and integrating disparate platforms into a single managed fleet may present additional technical challenges. However, the launch of DF Fleet 1 marks an important step towards standardising and scaling the technology for the global drone industry.
